Katrina lawsuit part 2

So you ask, why is Jim Hood of Mississippi suing insurance companies that sold policies to his citizens? Attorney General Hood has been forced to file a lawsuit against these companies because even though the hardworking people of Mississippi paid their premiums, kept up their policies and kept their end of the deal, the insurance companies denied their claims. In essence they said ” We are not going to pay you one red cent to rebuild your homes and cover your losses even though we said we would.” The good citizens of Mississippi had faith that their insurance carrier would cover them when disaster struck. Isn’t that why you pay all that money to insurance companies; that is the event something unimaginably devastating happens someone, whom you have dutifully paid I might add, has your back? If that isn’t the reason, then what is? To hope they have your back? To think maybe, possibly they will do what they said they will do; that is to build back your house, repair your car, and pay your medical bills when the unthinkable happens to you? Aren’t we paying them to be on our side? (stay tuned)
